Join us for the first summer social of 2019! We’re kicking off the summer (even though there are still a couple weeks of school left for most of you) with a bonfire at the Cleminsons’ house in Thickwood hosted by Josh and Sally Samuel. We’ll have everything for making s’mores. Feel free to bring a chair, blanket, or some type of yard game.
Summer socials are low-key hangout events designed for students to stay connected throughout the summer. If you’re going into grade 7, finishing grade 12, or somewhere in between, join us!
As we approach each individual event we will provide more detailed information such as address and any special instructions. Here is a brief look at the entire summer.
High School Bible Study
We are excited to announce a 7-week summer Bible study for students going into grades 10-12! This study will be led by Jimmy Burchett and Dustin and Vicki Greig, along with participation by Pastor Asa. Head over to the Burchett’s house in Timberlea from 6:00-9:00pm every Wednesday evening, July 3 to August 14. The first Wednesday after Canada Day will be an introductory time where students and leaders can discuss the direction for the remaining 6 weeks.
On Friday, September 6, we will have a kickoff party for the new school year, after which we will resume meeting every Friday evening at the church.
Enjoy your summer!
