Week of May 6th

reading challenge

Please join us this Friday evening during regular youth group hours (7:00-9:00pm) as we participate in a 72 Hour Bible Reading Challenge that is being hosted by our young adults ministry, The Purpose. This event is taking place all day Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 9-11. The goal is simple: to read through the entire Bible collectively as a church, around the clock within 72 hours. Feel free to participate in more of this event as your schedule allows. More details are available on The Purpose Facebook page.

Youth Retreat

Retreat Graphic

Registration is still open for Youth Retreat 2019. We only have room for 2 or 3 more students, so please fill out and submit the appropriate forms if you haven’t already. Now that we have taken a handful of measures to cut costs, including donut fundraising on Sunday mornings, we were able to lower the cost of the trip to $100.00/student. Please have full payment submitted before the retreat. Cash and cheque accepted, payable to “NorthLife Fellowship Baptist Church.”

Head to our events page for more details, including a schedule and packing list.

titus

The heart of the book of Titus is wrapped up in Titus 2:11-14:

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.”

It is the grace of God that transforms you and me. We are saved through faith in Christ. From the Holy Spirit we receive wisdom to grow in our understanding of God and his Word, and strength to be obedient by loving and serving others.

We praise God for the gift of Seth Pickersgill, Michael Hill, and Dustin and Vicki Greig being willing to share stories of how God’s transforming grace appeared in their lives. Take time to reflect on how God’s grace has appeared to you. How is he calling you to put your faith into action?
